In this analysis, we gathered the winning occurrences (frequencies) of each white ball in the five balls combinations and summed them up to see whether there is any favorable winning pattern exists based on the past draw results.
We sampled all the past drawings as of Feb 04, 2011 which is about 1433 drawings. We found out that 999 drawings of the past winning combinations have their number total occurrence/frequency sum between 641 and 699. This represents a very significant data set as it represents 70% of the past winnings. This shows that the combinations with the numbers that occur frequently do occur again and again.
This data package contains 1,919,893 combinations matching their balls frequency sum falling between 641 and 699 in the five ball combination. Importantly, this pattern has resulted in eliminating 1,899,923 combinations (50% elimination) from the Mega Million full wheel.
