Each Mega Million ticket has five white balls numbered from 1 thru 56 in addition to the mega ball. This analysis is carried out by analyzing all the past draws to see if there is any winning pattern of number of odd and even numbers in the five white balls combination.
We sampled all the past drawings as of Feb 04, 2011 which is about 1433 drawings. We found out an interesting pattern that suggests that 920 draws out of 1433 draws have their five balls combinations contain either 2 odd numbered balls & 3 even numbered balls OR 3 odd numbered balls & 2 even numbered balls. This is a very significant pattern representing 64% of the past winnings. This suggests that choosing your pick with either 2 odd/3 even or 3 odd /2 even has better chance of winning than any other combinations.
