In this analysis, we sampled the numerical distance between the lowest numbered and highest numbered balls in the five balls combinations to see whether there is any favorable winning pattern exists based on the past draw results.
We sampled all the past drawings as of Feb 04, 2011 which is about 1433 drawings. We found out that 1033 drawings of the past winning combinations have their ball distance between the lowest numbered and highest numbered balls in the five balls combinations falls in the range of 25 – 45.This represents about 72% of the past winnings based on this pattern which is quite significant.
This data package contains 2,478,168 combinations matching their ball distance between 25 and 45 in the five ball combination full wheel. Importantly, this pattern has resulted in eliminating 1,341,648 combinations (35% elimination) from the Mega Million full wheel.
